JUSCO operates 2 power licenses in Jharkhand - One at Jamshedpur and another at Seraikela-Kharsawan District. JUSCO is amongst one of the most efficient power utilities in the Country with benchmark performances in reliability and T&D loss area. JUSCO has been awarded Gold Shield Award thrice in a row by the Ministry of Power, Government of India in 2015 - a rare feat achieved by any power utility in the country.
JUSCO has been managing power distribution functions for the city of Jamshedpur since 1923. Subsequently, in December 2006 JUSCO was granted a parallel power distribution at Seraikela-Kharsawan District in Jharkhand - one of the 1st District in the Country where 2 power utilities were allowed to operate parallely in the same license area.
 Jamshedpur: India's first private power utility company to manage operations and distributions for the entire city since 1923. Managing more than 1200 kms of power distribution network, 90% of which is underground. SCADA system and GIS mapping of underground utilities with 100% metered connections and remote meter monitoring for high value consumers. T&D loss at 4% (benchmark in the country) with 99.9% power reliability.
 Seraikela-Kharsawan District, Jharkhand: One of the 1st Districts in India where two parallel distribution licensees are providing power to consumers. With T&D loss at 1.12%, which is a benchmark in the country, the Seraikela-Kharsawan license area is one of the most efficient power operating districts in the country.
