India’s largest comprehensive urban infrastructure service provider Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Company (JUSCO) today partnered with Bharti Airtel, (through its wholly owned subsidiary Airtel M Commerce Services Limited) and Bill Desk to allow customers in Jamshedpur to make their JUSCO utility bill payments via airtel money. This marks a first-of-its-kind initiative rolled out across the state of Jharkhand – one that will give customers the convenience of making JUSCO bill payments through airtel money on their mobile phones – anytime, anywhere. This association was today formally launched at a press conference held in Jamshedpur addressed by Mr. Ashish Mathur (MD, JUSCO) and Mr. Raghunath Pandey (President, JUSCO Shramik Union) in the presence of Mr. M P Deepu (Sr. Vice President - Bihar & Jharkhand, Bharti Airtel), Mr M N Srinivasu (Executive Director & Founder, Bill Desk) as well as other senior company officials. Mr Mathur briefed the audience on the new initiative of the company and JUSCO’s long term plans of striking strategic associations to further delight its customers.
Since its inception, JUSCO has always endeavored to bring out improved facilities to the customers through various initiatives. The objective behind this is to develop a customer centric organization through benchmarking and adopting best practices across the sector. In 2004 JUSCO started the JUSCO Sahyog Kendra, a 24x7 Helpline Complaint Management System for all the services it provides in Jamshedpur. The second stage of improvement focused on Single Window Service Hub with initiatives like Air Conditioned Bill Payment Counter and JUSCO Grahak Seva Kendra. The third stage of improvements focused on Multi Mode Payment facilities like De-centralized Bill Payment Counters across town, Information through SMS and Payment through ATP Machines. The fourth stage focused on Auto Mode Bill Payment with facilities like Internet Payment through Bill Desk.
The rollout of JUSCO bill payments via airtel money is yet another step towards customer centricity. With this, customers can now pay monthly utility bills from the comfort of their homes without needing to stand in queues.
Launched pan India in 2012 - airtel money is a fast, simple and secure service that allows its users to load cash on their mobile devices and spend it to pay utility bills and recharges, shop at merchant outlets, transact online etc. Apart from serving as an easy alternative to cash / card payment options, airtel money also offers customers the convenience of instant money transfer from an airtel money wallet to another airtel money wallet and bank accounts across the country.
