April 28, 2015: Today Mr Ashish Mathur, MD, JUSCO inaugurated the first metered drinking water connection at Ruyah Pahar (Raghubar Nagar) under the plan to provide 4500 connection at 86 bustee’s where water infrastructure has already been laid.

Mr Mathur in his address said that JUSCO would ensure quality drinking water to the residents but it is people’s responsibility to conserve and protect wastage. As a zimmedaar nagrik we should not only conserve but also ensure that the network is not punctured and raise alarm against theft and misuse. He further emphasized to those who already have water connections to install meter so that their consumption is monitored and they consume water as per the requirement and not waste it.

Till today JUSCO has completed 12 nos. metered connections. The process for installing water meter with connection has started today and in the next 6-8 months JUSCO has plans to complete all the existing 4500 connections.
