June 29, 2016: Packaged Sewage Treatment Plant (PSTP) is not a new concept but implementing the same at Jamshedpur is new and novel. JUSCO has been working on this concept for a long time and now the idea is being implementing at many locations. Today Mr Neerajkant, MD, ISWP inaugurated the 800 KLD Packaged Sewage Treatment Plant at ISWP Township. JUSCO has been entrusted with the project to implement 3 PSTP’s at ISWP & Jemco Townships comprising of 800 KLD, 150 KLD and 100 KLD respectively. Mr Ashish Mathur, MD, JUSCO along with Capt. Dhananjay Mishra, Sr GM (JTO), JUSCO and other team members from JUSCO and ISWP were present at the inauguration function.
The project involves renovation of existing sewerage network and indtallation and commissioning of 3 PSTP’s at ISWP and Jemco Township. Total of 7000 residents will ted benefited with this project as their sewage network will now be connected with the PSTP is their respective localities. Also the treated sewage can now be used for irrigation purpose in gardening or can be recycled inside the ISWP & Jemco Plant for industrial use.
This is a step forward towards making Jamshedpur a Zero Liquid Discharge City.
